Aging Maestro

This site was originally created as a device for keeping in touch with our far flung family, most of whom were not very disposed to writing letters, particularly in the old, "snail mail" mode. When I began it, I was still teaching, and several of my colleagues, as well as members of our "extended" family, asked to be included on the mailing list, as I updated each week. Old habits die hard, and this "labor of love" has certainly become just that. And, although retired, I am still able to keep in touch, through this medium, with many former students, as well as staff members. Also, it provides a chance for me to reflect on the activities of the week, as well as look forward to days ahead. The "update list" has grown to nearly one hundred addresses, and the counter reflects that a lot of them visit. For the present, I'll update, from time to time, when something "interesting" happens, or I just can't keep quiet about a "situation".
